Music Festival this November!
From November 13th through the 28th, the striking city of Morelia will showcase one of Mexico's most important artistic events, the XXI Annual International Music Festival of Morelia Miguel Bernal Jimenez.
As featured, year after year, Morelia honors a distinguished country and its music, this year the honors will be paid to the United Kingdom. Music aficionados will experience and enjoy the presence hundreds of international artists, an array of concerts, seminars, classes and courses both for students and music professionals. Among featured sounds will be Mexico's very own National Symphonic Orchestra and Michoacán's Symphonic Orchestra. This year, more than fifty thousand people are expected to be in attendance.
Located in the northern region of Michoacán, Morelia's Historic Center, declared a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO, boasts colonial-style constructions, such as the Palacio Nacional and La Catedral (The Cathedral). Due to its strategic location, many tourists visit Morelia before heading out to nature reserves, such as the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve (State of Mexico and Michoacán), named a UNESCO site in 2008 as well.

Recognized as the biggest and most important hot air balloon event in Latin America, Guanajuato will proudly present the 8th edition of the Leon International Balloon Festival (IBF) with 100 Balloons participating from November 13th-16th at the Metropolitan Park in the city of Leon.

How to get there?
While some cities in the US offer direct flights to Lean, most can fly to Mexico City and then to the city of Leon, Guanajuato. Los Angeles offers a nonstop flight to Leon.

Puebla gears up for its 11th
International Festival

The International Festival of Puebla, set to run from November 6th-15th, will feature local, Mexican and international artists from over 20 countries including Russia, USA, Canada, Cuba, Argentina, United Kingdom and Japan; ultimately estimating over 300 million visitors during its 10-day span.
Throughout the festival, art can practically be found at every corner of the city and showcasing all sorts of events at different cultural venues, mainly in downtown Puebla. The program offers appealing activities for every type of audience, ranging from kids, to teenagers and adults.
Although most events are free, some events require purchasing tickets, those of which can be obtained from the Council for Industrial Development, Commercial and Services (Consejo para el Desarrollo Comercial, Industrial y de Servicios).
How to get there: Puebla has its local international Airport, "Hermanos Serdán". If there are no flights from your city of origin to this local airport, the closest is the International Airport Benito Juárez in México City; then taking either a bus or short flight with Volaris Airlines (also available from Guadalajara).
